Premier League heavyweights Liverpool have struck a deal to take Fulham talent Fabio Carvalho to the club upon the conclusion of the campaign, it has been revealed.
The name of midfield starlet Carvalho of course took its place centre stage in the headlines when it came to ongoings at Anfield during the January transfer window.
This came as the transfer chiefs on the red half of Merseyside pushed hard to strike a deal with their Fulham counterparts, over an agreement which would have seen the Portuguese put pen to paper on terms with Liverpool, before returning to Craven Cottage on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
At one point late on deadline day, it was even widely reported that such a deal had been struck.
As the winter deadline came and passed, however, it was subsequently revealed that the transfer had collapsed at the last, owing to the required paperwork not being submitted in time.

But, as alluded to above, on Thursday afternoon, a fresh update on the situation has been forthcoming.
And it has proven an altogether significant one.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Carvalho to Liverpool is now a done deal.
The 19-year-old is set to make the move to Anfield this coming summer, having undergone a medical on Merseyside with the blessing of his current employers.
This comes after an agreement worth £5 million, plus a potential £2.7 million in bonuses, was struck between the respective boards at Liverpool and Fulham.
Carvalho is set to pen terms with Jurgen Klopp’s side through the summer of 2027, ahead of being integrated into the Reds’ first-team setup for the 2022/23 campaign.
