ISL: Bijoy Varghese extends deal with Kerala Blasters till 2025

Kerala Blasters FC defender, Bijoy Varghese has extended his deal, signing a contract extension that will keep him with the club till 2025.

Varghese played only a few games for Kerala Blasters last season, but his performances were enough to impress the club management to offer him a new deal. This shows that the club is keen on developing and holding on to youngsters as they build for the future, considering that the 22-year-old made only six appearances in all competitions last season.

“I am really excited that I am going to be a part of Kerala Blasters for a long time. I am really happy to be working under Coach Ivan and intend to work harder, get better at my game and sharpen my skills.  I hope to give all the club’s passionate fans memories by giving my 100 percent in all the games that I play,” Varghese said on his contract extension as quoted by ISL’s official website.

Hailing from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, the youngster became a part of the Kerala Blasters FC’s reserve team in 2021, with his brilliant performances in the Kerala Premier League earning him a call up to the senior team camp.
