Joel Embiid Told Nick Nurse To Stop Complaining About Calls

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid and Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse were seen having a conversation as Game 2 of their first round series came to an end. When asked what they were discussing, Embiid said he told Nurse to stop complaining about the officials.

“He’s a great coach. Obviously, he’s been able to accomplish (a lot) and always been a big fan,” Embiid said. “But, I told him, respectfully, I told him to stop b—-ing about calls.”

Prior to the Raptors Game 2 loss, Nurse had campaigned for the referees to look closer at how Embiid was playing. In Game 1, Nurse felt Embiid got away with several elbows to Toronto players.

Things went the other way as the Sixers took a 2-0 series lead. Embiid ended up shooting 12-of-14 from the free throw line, compared to the Raptors going 10-of-12 combined as a team.
